Daily prayer based on a verse of the Bhagavad Gita rendered poetically
From today onward, on the occasion of the new year, I would like to offer a special service to all those joining this community.
I will be sharing, every day or as frequently as possible, a prayerful reflection on one verse from the Bhagavad Gita rendered as a rhyming poetic quartet. These reflections will help us appreciate the Gita not just as an analytical or philosophical book of wisdom but as a personal expression of love by our Lord. This love-filled message invites us to offer a reciprocal expression of our love to him, thus highlighting the Gita's concluding emphasis on bhakti.
Additionally, I will be starting a WhatsApp channel for this community. The content, including past reflections, will be available for all those who join in the future.

A prayer for a new vision in the new year
My dear Lord, on this New Year, I pray that your glory be revealed to me by your mercy in ways that are exciting, enlightening, and enriching.
This year, like every year in the past and every year in the future, will feature the typical dualities of pleasure and pain, honor and dishonor, health and sickness, love and loss. Yet, through it all, my dear Lord, I beg you to grant me the vision to see your benevolent hand and your benevolent heart. Let your glory be revealed—the glory of your message as given in the Bhagavad-Gita and the glory of your mission to direct the consciousness of all living beings toward you.
May my vision not remain fixated at the material level, tossed up and down by its dualities. Instead, may it be fixed on you, drawing my heart toward you, even as my body and mind are driven up and down by worldly fluctuations.
Let me approach each day with anticipation of how you will reveal yourself and your glory, rather than apprehension about what temptations or threats may confront me.
I pray that this New Year brings with it a new vision, with increasing clarity and stability, into my heart and my life.
Gita daily article: Two things that we should never underestimate
Never underestimate two things: God's power to make things better and our power to make things worse.
During our life, we may sometimes find ourselves in dire straits, leading us to feel hopeless. In such situations, it’s essential that we not underestimate God's power to make things better. He can take even the darkest situations and bring a stream of divine light into them, dissipating whatever darkness may be present.
When we ensure we don’t assess situations solely through our…
